As society debates the choices between
development and preservation, between conservation and use
of natural resources, what often escapes us is that our environment
with its natural resources is part of the economy, not apart
from it; that every decision we make that degrades or weakens
our natural resources harms the economy. Dr. Kildow will explain
this new reality through examples drawn from information and
understanding coming from The National Ocean Economics Project
which she directs at CSUMB.
