Fourteen local AEP chapter members and friends came out to enjoy a great BBQ of organic beef burgers and garden burgers while climbing the walls of Sanctuary Rock Gym (www.rockgym.com).  Thanks to Ashley Hefner for taking the photos of the event! Whether you’re an expert mountaineer or a novice pebble wrestler, come join AEP for a night of good eats mixed with a little crimping, slabbing, and sweet jugging at the Sanctuary Rock Gym. The AEP Monterey Board will be cooking up a meat-lover and veggie-friendly BBQ while Sanctuary’s myriad of creative routes and bouldering problems will provide challenges to mind and body for all levels of climbers. If you’ve never climbed before, there’s no better time to start as belay instruction will be provided, along with shoes and gear.

All are welcome, so feel free to invite family, friends, and co-workers. The cost is $15 for AEP members and $20 for non-members, which includes the BBQ, belay instruction, shoes and gear, and a full night of climbing.Please RSVP to Mike Zeller (director@montereybayaep.org) by September 8st.
